After the plea hearing, the Judge or Magistrate will sentence-this might happen on the same day or the Judge or Magistrate will set another date. The sentence is where the Judge or Magistrate says what sentence or punishment the person will get. They will go through all the evidence, what the prosecution and defence have to say about the sentence, and what the victim has said about its impact on them.
